Reno Trip

David and I were excited to do this road trip.  We enjoyed our drive down to Reno, stopping at the Outlets to shop, then to Medford to sleep, then a couple stops the next day along the way.

The first evening there, we walked along their creek to the park, to fly the drone.

Celebrating Kate's birthday, a couple days late.  She was thrilled with the musical birthday card, and she would open it over and over, and then blow on it as it finished the happy birthday song!  So cute!  She loves dolls and babies, so she had fun putting this one in it's seat and feeding it.

Owen and I would get to know each other a little better as we took care of the kids while the parents did their Ragnar Race!  The kids were all great for us!
The "Marvels" that Mike, Scott and Elisha were apart of.

Carly and Nate hanging out while the runners did their thing.
We had lunch at Squaw Valley ski resort, then driving back to find the runners, we stopped at this beautiful place so Dan could play with his drone while the kids ran the path.  Looks like Europe.
Scott waving to his cheering kids.

Sarah's team in the pink!

This evening we went for a walk around Dan and Sarah's neighborhood.

It is just great sitting outside at Dan's, roasting marshmallows and enjoying the view of the city.

Monday we went to Lake Tahoe for the day.......too bad Dan had to work.
It was enjoyable even though it was a little too cool to want to get in the water for me....kids still did.
Mike fell funny and hurt his knee and ankle so had to take it easy for a few days.

The kids always enjoy being around water even while shaking because they were cold!

Sure is a beautiful lake!!

David took the three boys on a walk in the woods.  He loves to do that....and so do they!

Leading up to Mike and Carly's Wedding

We flew into Phoenix on Thursday evening and started meeting up with family.  Mike had picked up Brian, Scott and his family had driven down the day before, Amy and Chris were picked up by Carly, and Dan and Sarah and family flew in later that night.  After getting settled into our rented home, the guys all went to a "Bachelor Party" for Mike put on by his new brother in laws.  They went to a fun golf center, while the girls and kids stayed at the house visiting and playing.

 Opening a few guy gifts--tools!!

The whole group for the bachelor party!

This is the big house we rented in Gilbert.  Turned out to be a great house for all of us except that it was quite a alot of travelling.  Great place though.

The kids loved the backyard.
We ate at Joes Farm Grill on Friday for an early lunch and then again on Saturday morning for breakfast.  Fun place and great food! And the weather is perfect!

Then we drove through the beautiful desert to the   lake and played around for a while--slack lining and bocci.

Then headed back to get ready for the family dinner that night.  It was held in a law office board room,  Very classy place.  All the family that was in town for the wedding the next day were there.  We each got the chance to give some remarks about Mike and Carly, eat pizza, and visit.  Fun night.

We only got video of the actual event with all the people.

The next morning after breakfast at Joes, we all got ready to go to the Gilbert Temple.  Everyone dressing up in the wedding attire for pictures afterwards.

 Handsome boys!!
Nathan just hanging out waiting to go.

 Love the bowties and suspenders.

Pretty in pink girls!
