Trip to Cardston

David and I had an enjoyable trip out to Cardston.  Doing it in two days, we didn't feel the pressure to drive straight through, so here we stopped for a little walk around Bonner's Ferry ID.  Quaint little town and shops.

It was cold and windy in Alberta, but still beautiful.
So when we got to Cardston, we found out that we should have hurried more, because Dianne and Jeff had flown down from Calgary for a visit and had to be back by sundown (he only has his pilot's lisence for daytime.  So we had a quick visit and dinner, and then left in time for David and Grandpa to go up for a little fly over Cardston, then dropped them off and Dianne and Jeff were on their way.

The next day we drove into Taber to visit Grandma's brothers.  It had been a long time since David had seen them so he was excited to visit with them.  This is Uncle Jess.  We also saw Uncle Don and Aunt Pat.
Grandpa was going so fast on this machine, that I didn't get a very good picture, but it shows you why he is doing as well as he is for 90!!  He does 30 reps a day.  He says it's a good workout for him.

We always like to go for a walk around the temple and take a few pictures...as if it changes any.

Then on the way home, we had our traditional visit to a car repair shop, adding another little town to list of memorable stops. With that little car problem, we had to stay overnight so Mike drove up to meet us, eat dinner (twice) and go to a movie.  That was a nice perk. The next afternoon we were on our way back to the good ole Northwest!!
