Christmas

First, I just put some pictures of the Christmas decor around the house.  I really liked my mantle, and tray etc, so here are a few shots.

I made a bunch of cinnamon buns to take for gifts as well as our Christmas breakfast.
I tried these brownies for the first time.  Not as much work as sugar cookies, and really good!

We invited some people over for Christmas Eve dinner.  Elder and Sister Hunter, the Elders, Sharon Russell (I VT her), and   ( a new convert). It was a very enjoyable evening together....read the Christmas story, sang a little, and played a couple games.  Elder Mulus is from Indonesia area and called his parents from our house that night.  Pretty exciting.
Our line-up was pretty small this year....and pretty blurry.

A new tri-pod for Brian.

Funny that we got the same game from the Polleys and the Thompsons!  It's a fun game!
Ice cream bowls from Mike and Carly!
BYU shirt from Scott and Elisha,  Camera bag from Dan and Sarah.
Joseph Bates Noble book from Amy and Chris.
We had breakfast around 10:30.
It was a quiet, but very nice Christmas.  I am very grateful for the many blessings we have....love of family, and love of the Gospel and the Saviour!

Jill's Wedding

It was really great to be in Las Vegas on the December 19th weekend for Jill Polley's marriage to Aaron Shirley.  We went to the family dinner on the Friday night, and the sealing in the temple was at 10:00.  It was a beautiful sealing.  They seem like a great match and we are so happy for them.

After the wedding, we stopped by to see Aunt Marva and JoLynne.  They live quite close to the temple.  It was wonderful to visit with them!  Marva is 95 and very alert and happy.  She can't walk or move around so JoLynne is living with her to help.

The reception that night was at Jim and Susan's home. Beautifully decorated!!

Todd and Tanner are on their missions so of course weren't there...so had this great cut out of them!

The receiving line was inside, and the tables and dance floor were outside. It was a very cold night so they rented 13 heaters spaced out among the tables.
