Golden Ears Outing

It was a perfect day for a hike..or long walk to the lower falls. We had fun playing by the river's edge and throwing rocks in the water.

Fos would move rocks as fast as he could to get at the gravel and dirt, and I would try to put the rocks back as fast as I could so he wouldn't. He is very focused and persistant. It was cute.

Bumper Crop

The cherries this year were the best ever. There were soooo many! We had trimmed down the tree quite a bit last year, and I'm sure that helped. It was wonderful to have Grandma and Grandpa and Scott and Elisha here to help pick and can. Because we were leaving soon, we picked some earlier than we would have normally.

Canada Day

Our day started at the Church for a Pancake Breakfast. We all had on our Canada t-shirts or Reds on. We then packed a lunch and the canoe and went down to the regular place in White Rock to paddle around a bit. We had lunch there and played some Bocci. On the way home we stopped at Art Knapps to see the trains and the ducks. It was a really fun day.

Day in Vancouver

Monday June 29th we headed first to MEC so Brian could get a backpack. He needs one with a hydration system for those hot days in Arizona. He found a good one that also is held out away from his back for air flow. It is always fun to go to MEC.

Then we headed to the Maritime Museum to tour the St Roch.

Our planned picnic at the park was a little tricky because of the cool wind. But it was great for flying kites!

Four Generation Walton Men Shot

Brian gave his farewell talk in Church on this day. It was nice to have Grandma and Grandpa here at this special time.

Seattle Marathon

On June 27th, Elisha ran the Seattle Marathon! David and I went down to be part of the fun, witness the event and help with the kids. Here we are looking for her...trying to figure out where she would be at this time. (Notice on Fos's feet are some pink mitts....Molly's pink mitts. It was chilly and he didn't have any socks, so we used those.)

We finally saw her in the distance...getting near the end.

She's almost done and she doesn't even look tired there!

She did it and in very good time.

So here is Molly triumphantly wearing her pink mittons. It quite bothered her that Fos was wearing them. She wore them for a long time and it wasn't even cold then. Funny girl.

Trip to Georgia

It was wonderful to be a Grandma up close and personal.

David really enjoyed his day at the museam. He took many pictures, but this will be all that makes it to the blog.

Katie and Ryan are such a help in taking care of the baby....and they love to do it. Lucky Baby Matthew....and Mama Lisa.

Boy, can Luke ever throw a ball! and you never know for sure where it is going to go...on the table, or hit you in the head, or hit the baby. He sure loves it.

Ryan loves to play Monopoly so he had the game ready to go for any interested players. He and Grandpa played the first one, and the next one involved 6 of us. It had been years since I had played, but I lucked out and won by landing on a big load in Fee Parking. Yippee
