Bryce Canyon

Thursday morning Dan and Sarah and family said their Good-byes and left for Northern California while the rest of us headed back to Scott's via Bryce Canyon.  It was a beautiful day and the scenery was spectacular.  We stopped at a fun western-style souvenire shop where Mike found this great find......yummy.
"One of these kids is not like the other....."

This is us getting ready for the group shot that Amy got.
 "2 charcoal buzzards!!"

 Sasha girl Katie
 Sasha girl Emmy
Sasha girl Molly  (Notice her leg was trying to come up......give her a year, and she'll have it.)

Win It in a Minute

Sarah, Scott and Elisha spent alot of time planning and preparing these timed games and challenges known as Win It in a Minute.   It was hilarious to see us try to do these silly things as fast or careful as possible.
Emptying a kleenex box with one hand.
 Elephant walk.
 Oreo from forehead to mouth.
Unroll 2 crepe paper streamers...one in each hand.
Pull pencils up with a Skittle on to reach your mouth.
Move a Skittle from the chair to the top of the straws with suction.
And bounce tow ping pong balls at once too get into the two cups.  There were more crazy challenges too that were lots of fun. Thanks, guys.

Fun with Grandpa

Life Around the Cabin

Just some fun shots around the cabin starting with Elisha going for her morning run....or whenever run.  One dedicated girl.
Of course games were a big part of our fun.  And Bang was the new hit game brought by Amy.
The grandkids loved the Seal Hunt and Bear Hunt by Grandpa.
James was a jewel just happily enjoying all the activity around him.

Not sure what this was about, but they had fun.
We had great food there every night.

Chris made his famous Peach Cobbler in the dutch over.  Very yummy.

Part 3(a) --Zion National Park- Emerald Pools Hike

We spent a wonderful day in Zion National Park.  We parked our cars and got on the shuttle that drives to the different points of interest to get on and off as you want.  We went to the Emeral Pools hike....hike for some, walk for others.

 Squirrel!

Favorite activity for the kids--throwing rocks in the water.  Favorite activity for the adults--taking pictures!

I think the hike was a bit much for some of the group as we headed back to the cars for lunch.

Part 3- Zion National Park-Walk to the Narrows

In the afternoon we headed up to the end of the Canyon to go for a walk along the river to the beginning of the Narrow.  We couldn't go into the narrow because the water was to high and swift, but the walk was beautiful and the kids loved playing in the cold water.

Chris, Mike, Ryan, Katie and Emily were the ones brave enought to go all the way in that cold water!

I'm not sure what the kids found so funny here, but it probably had something to do with Grandpa.

Part 2--Trip to Southern Utah

This is the whole Walton Family minus Elder Walton, and plus Amy's boyfriend and new family friend, Chris Silva.
We drove south to a place right by Orderville, Utah to this cabin that housed all of us.  It was very roomy and nice.  We were only a half hour from Zion Natl Park.

Here we are getting ready for our hike to a small slot canyon.  It was very hot and hiked in soft sand, but it was still fun.
