The Saturday evening we got into Calgary, we went over to Dianne and Jeff's for a family dinner. Jeff's parents and children had flown in from all over, and Di's kids and siblings were there, except Janet and Terry that were coming the next day. Grandma and Grandpa couldn't travel so they weren't there. We had a lovely evening visiting and had an awesome potato bar dinner.
Lindsay and her cute one year old, Smith.
The wedding was on Sunday night at a very nice restaurant that Lindsay had worked at before. One large room was reserved for the occasion. The table setting and decorations were really beautiful. Dianne and Lindsay had hand dipped some chocolates that were in little boxes for each person....also a little framed picture of Jeff and Dianne.
Kyle and Jeff
Jeff and Lauren, his girlfriend.
The procession came in dancing to "Tonight's going to be a Good Night". The sisters came in first, but I don't have a good picture of them. Above is Jeff and Kyle, (I know, not a very good shot, but gives the idea). Then Jeff and Dianne came dancing in, and then they all did a routine together. It was choreographed, and was very cute.
At the end of the wedding ceremony, the officiator, had each of the children come up and pick up a little container of colored sand and pour it into the larger container...then Jeff and Dianne did the same, and then he talked about how it was symbolic of blending the families together without losing their own characteristics.
The siblings and spouses.....wonderful to be together.

I would have loved to see a little video of the dancing. She looks so happy. Fun to see all the pictures.
That is so fun. Diane looks like a beautiful bride! That is so fun to go back with all those memories!
