Halifax, Nova Scotia

It was really fun to come into Halifax Harbour.  Good size city, and large port.
We got off and walked along the waterfront to pick up our van for the day.

We drove about 45 minutes out to this cute place.....Mahone Bay.

Absolutely gorgeous!  David and I kept saying, "Maybe we should retire HERE!"

We drove on to Lunenburg....and quaint port village settled by British and German.....so colorful.
This is where the famous Bluenose sailing ship was built years ago.  Now they have the Bluenose II but it was out in the bay sailing right then.  Shoot.
 Internet picture of the Bluenose

Lunenburg, from across the bay on a golf course.  We just about lost Chris.

So fun to be here with these two gorgeous ladies!!

AS we were leaving town, we saw the Bluenose II coming back in to port.
We dropped David off at the Maritime Museum.

...and we finally decided to go to the Citadel.

The Citadel is a fortification built in 1749...or Fort George.

Putting on their Scottish garb...looking good, guys!  (Funny pictures on Lisa's blog)

 Those are some big scissors!!

More Cow's ice cream cones when we dropped off the van.  Then walked back through town.

 Interesting history here.
