Life on the Veendam

We sailed on the Holland American Veedam; a ship that is on the smaller side, and older, although had been refurbished, so it was very nice.    I must say how disappointing how few pictures we took of the ship itself!  Too bad.

Much of the fun of a cruise is the meals...especially at the dining room.  We had a great table at the window the whole time.  The meals were delicious!  The desserts were good but not fabulous.

 Love this picture!

Chris's dad was having serious health problems and in the middle of tests and consultations with the doctors, so Chris's mind was naturally with him and the decisions that needed to be made.

Breakfast in the Lido.  Great selection!  We had one breakfast in the dining room.

Each evening when we came back to our room, there was a cute towel-arranged animal to greet us.

We had a great time playing games in the evening....Wits and Wagers, Rook, Oh Heck, and Splendor.

We only swam or laid out a few times, but it was so great when we did!
